Privacy Policy.
Effective and last updated: 12 October 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Workaloo, based in Adelaide, South Australia, collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry or use our recruitment services.
1. Our privacy approach
We handle personal information with care and use the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) to guide our practices. We comply with the privacy obligations that apply to our business. This policy explains our commitments and does not limit your rights under applicable law.
Email us using the details on our Contact page. You can request a copy of this policy without charge.
2. Information we may collect
For enquiries, this may include your name, email address, phone number, company, role, employment type, location, hiring requirements and message. For recruitment, it may include your CV, employment and education history, skills, role preferences, availability, professional references and relevant interview or recruitment correspondence.
We collect only information reasonably needed for the enquiry or recruitment process. Please do not send tax file numbers, bank details, passport copies or sensitive information with an initial enquiry. If a specific check or sensitive information is necessary, we will explain why and seek consent where required by law.
3. How we collect information
We generally collect information directly from you through our website forms, email, phone calls or recruitment conversations. Reference checks and other third-party checks will be discussed with you before they are undertaken. Please ensure referees know you are providing their contact details.
Website forms send your entries and optional PDF, DOC or DOCX attachment over HTTPS to FormSubmit, a third-party form service, for email delivery to Workaloo. This does not open a draft in your email app. FormSubmit documents a 30-day submission archive; uploaded files are not available through its archive API. Its own privacy terms also apply. Workaloo retains delivered enquiries and attachments in its email and recruitment records. No form answers are stored by this website in browser storage or a Workaloo website database.
Providing information is voluntary. You may make a general enquiry anonymously or using a pseudonym where practical. Without relevant contact details or recruitment information, we may be unable to respond, assess suitability or progress a search.
4. How we use your information
We use information to respond to enquiries, understand hiring requirements, assess and discuss relevant roles, coordinate interviews, carry out agreed checks and manage recruitment communications and records. We may also use it to meet legal requirements or resolve complaints. We do not use this website to make automated recruitment decisions.
We will not treat an enquiry as consent to unrelated marketing. You may ask us to stop optional communications or withdraw interest in future opportunities.
5. Sharing your information
Information may be shared with prospective employers or candidates where relevant to an agreed recruitment process, service providers needed to handle communications and records, or authorities where required or permitted by law. We will discuss a candidate’s proposed introduction before sharing their identifiable profile with an employer. We do not sell personal information for unrelated marketing.
6. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to restrict access to recruitment information and protect it against misuse, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. Email and online services cannot provide an absolute security guarantee.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, including legal recordkeeping or dispute requirements. When no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention requirements.
If an eligible data breach occurs and notification obligations apply, we will follow those obligations.
7. Access, correction and deletion requests
Email us to request access to or correction of your information, withdraw future candidate interest, or request deletion. We may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days. If we cannot grant a request, we will explain the reason where lawful and any available complaint options. Deletion may be limited by lawful retention requirements.
8. Cookies and website information
Workaloo has not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts or marketing cookies to this website. Our form does not use browser storage to retain your answers. Hosting and access services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request logs and authentication details for delivery, security and access control under their own policies.
Any ChatGPT sign-in used to view this Site is managed by OpenAI, rather than a Workaloo candidate account. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. FormSubmit may use cookies and a Google reCAPTCHA spam check when you submit a form. See Google’s Privacy Policy. These services can process technical information to deliver forms and prevent spam. Email providers’ policies apply to email delivery.
9. Privacy complaints
Email us with your concern and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge it, investigate and aim to provide a response within 30 days, or explain any delay.
If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where the matter falls within its jurisdiction. You can also obtain South Australian privacy complaint guidance.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our collection methods, services or information handling change. The date above identifies the current version. If a proposed new use requires consent, publishing an updated policy alone will not replace that consent.
